Desirae Moore

Stop Motion Animation has been my greatest passion and pursuit. I've developed my craft by fabricating and animating for two short films and several other personal projects. For me, the most exciting aspect of stop motion animation is bringing a puppet to life in such a way that the audience connects with the character emotionally. To truly make the audience believe in a character's thoughts, emotions, and motivations, I've developed my skillset to a variety of techniques. These include motion control, replacement, forced perspective, and scaling animation. My love of painting, people, and nature serves well for capturing a director's vision on camera. I have an eye for detail, composition, and color, which comes in handy for fabricating props, sets, and armature puppets. I love whimsy and always strive to capture child-like wonder in my personal animation. The inspiration and experience that comes from working with fellow artists is a treasure. I'm always excited to tell a compelling story with the stop motion medium. Happy animating!
